Labor Secretary Hilda Solis was confirmed by the Senate today. Vote was 80-17, which suggests that nothing in her background proved particularly controversial. She didn't recuse herself from the Employee Free Choice Act, as some Republicans had demanded, so expect her to turn her attention to that relatively quickly.
