The media is trying to draw this out to damage our nominee, and throw this election to John McCain.
Nobody who has paid attention to the media for the last decade should be shocked by this. Hillary's supporters should be ashamed of themselves for playing along when they have no honest hope to win.
It's clear from watching Mitchell on MSNBC that she is not so secretly rooting for Clinton and colors her commentary accordingly. Clinton needed to win both Ohio and Texas 67-33 to actually resuscitate her campaign, and she didn't do that.

You can slice it anyway you like, but Obama is still bleeding.
Such are the wages of Harry & Louise ads.
This is the Democratic Party, y'know...

I wonder whether she was simply implying that Ohio has breathed new life into the Clinton campaign as a whole.

What about the short term gains of running Mondale-esque red phone ads?

Yes, the prepositional phrase makes the sentence ambiguous or polysemous--
So, either
a) "After being dead in Ohio, she has returned to life."
b) "After being dead in the primary process, Ohio has returned her to life."

So it was McCain who ran the red-phone ad?
How on earth are you getting behind the campaign run by that union-busting slimeball Mark Penn?
