I hope the GOP makes a big deal out of this. Its a wonderful excuse to once again bring out the laundry list of truly terrible things Rush has said over the years.

My favorite might be his belief that MLK's assassin deserves the Medal of Honor.

Considering that every republican that dares speak against Rush's vile rhetoric has had to go begging back for forgiveness, its always nice to remind the American people that the GOP is the party pretty much led by a guy who thinks that "slavery had its merits."

Say what you will about Democrats or Wanda, but its not like everyone in the party has to go grovelling to her for forgiveness every time they speak out against her like the GOP does with Rush. Wanda does not run the Democratic party. The actions of numerous republicans has shown time and again that Rush is indeed their ideological ruler.

In it, Sykes suggested that conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh is supported by Hamas, and that Islamists are "constantly issuing Limbaugh talking points." She joked about terrorists supporting conservatives in general, suggesting that recent violent events in Iraq are attempts by terrorists to swing the upcoming midterm elections in favor of Republicans.

Then she got really personal. She joked that Limbaugh was a racist who doesn't want black people to "escap[e] the underclass." She accused him of being responsible for killing "a million babies a year," and aired her friend's theory that Limbaugh himself was a terrorist attack," a followup to 9/11. She also, most disgustingly, said that if conservatives kept apologizing to Limbaugh, they'd eventually contract "anal poisoning." She wondered when Republicans would finally stop "bending over and grabbing their ankles" for Limbaugh, and finally concluded that Limbaugh was just a "bad guy."

Oh wait. Wanda Sykes didn't say any of these things. These are things Rush Limbaugh has said about Obama or other Democrats in the past year" This is just a small portion of Limbaugh. Bring it on GOP, the party that can dish it out oh so well but cannot take it.

And I thought this was going to be a post about Wanda Sykes repeatedly discussing Obama's nipples.

Once again it has to be pointed out to you that what a private citizen does is a different matter from what the PRESIDENT does, says, or validates by his approving laughter at the public scene. Let me hold your hand like a little child and walk you through this: some angry commentator can say, I hope bad things happen to his presidency, but the PRESIDENT is not supposed to reply publicly, I hope bad things happen to Mr. so- and-so. Or to give another example, you and your girlfriend can have sex on your office desk. But the president is not supposed to be using the office desk to have sex. But, but, you stammer, why not? He's a human being. It's because the public has VESTED POWER IN HIM AND HE IS NOT SUPPOSED TO ABUSE IT BY USING ALL THE PERKS FOR HIS OWN ENJOYMENT, OR THE POWER TO SASTISFY HIS PERSONAL NEED FOR VENGEANCE. He is operating in the presidency as a public figure, a proxy for America.
