Momma said wonk you out

DEBATES BY ASSOCIATION.

McCain could take a few pointers from the Penguin:

COMMENTS

It's absolutely stunning how well that holds up to the debates this cycle. McCain even sorta woddles!

He even says "my friends." Is McCain's debate prep being run by the Penguin?

Holy cow, John Kerry is Batman!

God that show really did suck, huh.

I think the Penguin has a point. How was Batman even allowed to run for office without disclosing his real name?

Holy McPenguin!

I don't know, but I heard ACORN registered him to vote

Brilliant!

isn't this the Cheney-Edwards debate from 4 years ago?

Batman and the Joker were pals. You can't trust Batman.

"Can I help it if I have enthusiastic fans?"

Does that make Biden Robin? I'm not seeing it. More Stephanopolous-esque.

But the first 45 seconds were absolutely uncanny. "Who IS he?"

Got any clips from `Gidget Goes To Washington?'

Got any clips from `Gidget Goes To Washington?'

Love it....and it's so accurate! "my friends, who is batman?"

Why that penguin, he certainly did have a palinesque eye for literal accuracy.

Incredible ... the most prescient web clip since Eddie Murphy predicted the Giants beating the Pack. What's even more incredible is this is the SECOND uncanny McCain/Penguin comparison of the election cycle (the other was him grunting, Penguin style, about Sarah Palin) ... Gollum and Penguin, not the most flattering comparisons ... folks, forward this around, this is a classic

Batman is evil! He pals around with terrorists! OFF WITH HIS HEAD!

No, you're missing what's really incredible here. The clip makes it clear that the show's writers and directors were patterning Penguin in part on Nixon. I'm just now realizing that, watching Batman as a child, I subconsciously associated Penguin with Nixon. (I was born in '68.) The whole boring-intelligent-egghead vs. Nixonian man of the people thing is clearly a take on the '68 and '72 elections. Not to mention the ratf***ing.

So the crazy thing here is that the reason McCain sounds like the Penguin is that BOTH of them are running Nixon's campaign.

At least now we know how Adam West became mayor of Quahog.

His "camp" handlers clearly found inspiration from Batman. Pow! Bop! Swack!

But McCain the man is straight outta shakespeare.

I've always said he's one warped sheleighli.
