Momma said wonk you out

FROM TRAGEDY TO FARCE.

So the latest McCain attack is that Barack Obama is uppity presumptuous and has already written a draft of his inaugural address. The evidence? John Podesta, head of the Center for American Progress and former chief of staff to Bill Clinton, released a book last summer that had a) a lot of policy ideas and b) a sample inagural address that mentioned those policy ideas. As The Politico notes, "the book was written when Podesta was advising Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton in her race against one Barack Obama." Oops. And the attack relies on the idea that the "eloquent" Obama had no interest in drafting his own inaugural address. So words don't matter to him after all? Double oops.

At this point, the McCain campaign is just going through the motions. They need a meteor, not yet another shift in message.

Ever since I discovered Hillary's presumption, I feel I don't know enough about Barack Obama.

"At this point, the McCain campaign is just going through the motions."

And waiting for the Bradley Effect to win the election.

And waiting for the _______ Effect to win the election.

Please tell me I'm wrong!

Recently Ezra linked to another blog that claimed Election vote fraud simply doesn't happen and has never been proven.

Behold...NOT TRUE. In fact lots of Obama supporters have been caught defrauding the election system:

OBAMA STAFFERS PULL THEIR FRAUDULENT OHIO BALLOTS

JEANE MACINSTOSH

Thirteen campaign workers for Barack Obama yesterday yanked their voter registrations and ballots in Ohio after being warned by a prosecutor that temporary residents can't vote in the battleground state.

A dozen staffers - including Obama Ohio spokeswoman Olivia Alair and James Cadogan, who recently joined Team Obama - signed a form letter asking the Franklin County elections board to pull their names from the rolls.

The letter - a copy of which was obtained by palestra.net, came a day after prosecutor Ron O'Brien publicly urged out-of-state campaign workers for both Obama to "examine your conscience" before the elections board begins opening absentee ballots today.

Also pulling his ballot yesterday was Hofstra University grad Jake Smith, an Obama volunteer who had voted in Knox County, Ohio.

On Thursday, O'Brien cut a deal with 13 out-of-staters, including four from New York, who tossed out their already-cast ballots and admitted they didn't meet residency requirements.

Obama election fraud, proven and caught red handed.

On the TV show 24 there was a black president. This was obviously horrendously arrogant and presumptuous on the part of Barack Obama.

I also wish to extend my hearty appreciation for teh "Obama eleskshun frawd" enthusiasts of the right, who have provided and will no doubt continue to provide much amusement, while I comfortably watch the rusted hulk of Reaganism burn and sink beneath the waves, rejected by the public after 30 years of nation-destroying lies and greed.

The suggestions that the 'perfect storm' of Ugly and Ignorance could result in a McCain presidency is truly disheartening.

It seems that the irrationality of the campaign keeps it viable, and I don't understand that.
