THE POLLS.

CBS poll of undecided voters gives it to Obama, 39% to 27%. Key findings:

After the debate, 68 percent of uncommitted voters said that they think Obama will make the right decisions on the economy, compared to 54 percent who said that before the debate. Fewer thought McCain would do so – 49 percent after the debate, and 41 percent before.

Before the debate, 60 percent thought Obama understands voters’ needs and problems; that rose to 80 percent after the debate. For McCain, 35 percent felt he understands voters’ needs before the debate, and 46 percent thought so afterwards.

The CNN poll, meanwhile, gives to Obama by a whopping 24 points. Obama was deemed the winner by 54% of respondents. McCain got the nod from 30%.

COMMENTS

CCN says 54/30 Obama.

Debate #1: Supposed to be an easy win for McCain, because it was about foreign policy, Obama wins

Debate #2: Supposed to be an easy win for McCain, because it was a Town Hall. Obama wins.

Debate #3: Why is this supposed to be an easy win for McCain, and why will Obama win that one?

Er, CNN, that is.

Has CNN ever had a poll that didn't favor the Democrat? I don't recall one. By CNN standard polling, you can pretty much be sure that being a Republican will cost that politician the debate.

Not a defense of McCain. I missed the debate. I expect he was underwhelming, as he was in the first one.

Update the CBS:

http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2008/10/07/politics/horserace/entry4508356.shtml

"Forty percent of the 516 uncommitted voters surveyed identified Barack Obama as tonight's winner; 26 percent said John McCain won, while 34 percent saw the debate as a draw."

The earlier 39-27 was from around 400 uncommitted voters, at least when I heard it on KO's show. Basically when getting more in, 1% flipped to Obama.

Good job as always, Ezra.

John

McCain's fundamental problem in these debates is that he has essentially ceded every issue to Obama. (Except for crossing Pakistan's border! McCain feels very strongly about that one.) McCain is now running as the second coming of FDR and it's just not credible.

Do you know the maple mesos?

I knew the Metin2 gold so I always try my best to earn them more and more to make myself strong.

The 12sky2 Gold should be a timely evolution of the world.

Once the race card is full the race begins, with players avoiding to buy Rom Gold and magical traps.
