The group blog of The American Prospect

Quote for the Day.

goatpet.jpg
"There is a great song called 'Coca Cola Cowboy' and I believe that's what we have here. She was a Republican as long as it enhanced her electability," said [former Republican Leader Dick] Armey, reached while petting a goat at his Texas ranch. "My guess is she made a deal with Chuck Schumer or the White House that will eventually show itself to us."

From this Post story on how conservatives drove moderate Republican and NY-23 candidate Dede Scozzafava into the arms of the Democrats. Another great Armey moment here.

-- Tim Fernholz

COMMENTS

I sincerely hope Ms. Scozzafave & all her extended family, now seeing up close & personal how Republicans really act, will all become Democrats & help our party make Republicans the 21st century version of the Know Nothing Party.

You made me tear up, and that is not something I have done in a long time when thinking about the history of my country and the potential, nay, promises it holds...eventually. It's nice to see something fundamentally earth-shattering (in a good way) once in a while. Rolex replica
