LIGHTNING ROUND: BADGER BADGER BADGER, PRIMARY!
- As we wait for tomorrow's primary results in the badger state and Hawaii, it's interesting to learn that the Clinton campaign may have staked everything on Texas without realizing that its unique rules will make it hard to gain many extra delegates there.
- Hey, check it out, policy differences between the democratic candidates!
- RNC members outline future attacks on Obama, none of which seem particularly likely to work to me. I mean criticism on policy substance are laughable coming from McCain and any discussion of "toughness" in foreign policy will come back to Iraq where McCain's 100 years policy will come back to haunt him.
- That story about Obama-friendly precinct registering zero votes for him in New York turns out to be not nearly as scandalous as it seems.
- Clinton likes to say that there could be new and unexpected dirt about Obama yet to surface, but if this ridiculous "plagiarism" "scandal" is an example of that I'm not very worried. This is dumbest controversy since Clinton accused Obama of having a messy desk.
- On the other hand Obama should avoid talking about Clinton in a derogatory and somewhat sexist way as Ann says.
- Nicholas Kristof can apparently read minds.

But is it sexist? I've been following this dispute about the alleged sexism of Obama's statement with interest, and count me unconvinced. Sometimes the plain meaning of someone's words is... the plain meaning of their words. I don't consider myself an Obama supporter, but this allegation seems flimsy at best.
And what does "somewhat sexist" mean anyway?

No, I think we all know what future attacks we'll see against Obama, assuming he's the Dem nominee. And they, sadly, have a history of working.

I've long wondered whether the students at U. of Wisconsin have ever thought of their teams as the Wisconsin Badger Badger Badgers.
Not to mention, a marching band could really do something with that piece.

There's little doubt that it really IS plagairism. It's exactly the kind of thing that bounced Joe Biden out of the race in '88, though it shouldn't have.
What surprised me was that Patrick delivered the lines much better than Obama did.
