THIS FEED IS CLOSED TO THE PRESS.
Huh, I wonder why Jake Tapper, press access warrior, has blocked me from following his Twitter feed.
Time for a blogger ethics panel?
UPDATE: Tapper has also blocked Talking Points Memo.
Bonus Tapper: His exchange with White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs* over "transparency that you and the president herald so much." I think you're supposed to believe in transparency too, Jake.
* Sorry ya'll. Grew up in DC, I'm a Skins fan.
UPDATE II: As far as I can tell, I've been unblocked and the Twitter war with Jake Tapper is at an end. For the record, I apologized to Tapper for an untoward comment I made about him after I was blocked.

The press secretary is Robert Gibbs. Joe Gibbs was coach of the Redskins.

I'm going to change my twitter bio to "not important enough to be blocked by @jaketapper".

What a twit!

Way to advertise your juvenile pettiness and thin-skinnedness, Tapper. Judging from his body of work, old Jake's not quite bright enough to figure out just how bad this makes him look...but everyone else is laughing their asses off at him.

Link below is what got me blocked. All Kurtz did was post his tweets on the special olympics comment scandal.
Posted by: jayackroyd | March 20, 2009 1:19 PM
And Michelle Malkin blocked TBogg.
The wingnuts (and honorary wingnut Tapper) love their petty blocking technology -- quite a few wingnut bloggers won't let you post a direct link to their posts if you're a critic (even though all a reader has to do is drag the link to the address bar).
I can see blocking a persistent, abusive commenter on a blog, but a critical reader? Christ, these people can't function anywhere that isn't a gated community.

Can we start an honor roll for Tapper's blocked tweeps?
Posted by: Joyomama | March 20, 2009 1:29 PM
hey, when will ezra open up his twitter feed?
Posted by: ezra's #1 fan | March 20, 2009 1:31 PM
joyo The hash is #badgeofhonor.
It's just ridiculous.
Posted by: JayAckroyd | March 20, 2009 1:34 PM
Why do you need to follow Tapper, shouldn't you be taking your lead from JournoList?
Posted by: motionview | March 20, 2009 1:48 PM
Arguing on the internet is like working for ABC News. Even if you win, you're still Jake Tapper.

Not the brightest maneuver around. There's pretty limited use to "blocking" someone from a Twitter feed that is open to the public as a whole.
Here's a hint:
http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/14529929.rss
If he really wants to block people, he needs to make his updates protected. Which kind of defeats the point for a journo.

Ivan,
Yes very silly to block if you are not going to protect updates. Appearance of @jaketapper will alert block followers that there are posts up. Or you can just load up the profile a couple times a day.
Posted by: jayackroyd | March 20, 2009 3:05 PM
Maybe Tapper doesn't need transparancy warriors JournoList stooges whining about him every 2 minutes
Posted by: Tapperfan | March 20, 2009 3:06 PM
Tapper's toolage is of long standing. He puts on the maverick act, but ABC would never have hired him if they didn't know that he was no threat to the established order.
Posted by: Phoenix Woman | March 20, 2009 3:17 PM
Hey Tapper said that if you stop blocking him and let him read what you say in JournoList he will stop blocking you from his Twitter.
Posted by: stevden | March 20, 2009 3:34 PM
Tapper's blocking you is TOTALLY hypocritical in light of his "transparency in gov't" stance, because Tapper was elected to journalism and has to answer to the American people, right?
Give me a break.
You can still follow Tapper's tweets by checking his page or his RSS feed, you just can't send DMs to him when blocked. And why on Earth would you want to follow Tapper -- of all people -- anyway?
Now, about the GOP smear campaign against Chris Dodd...

Tapper makes nice with TPM again.

But JournoList, JournoList, JournoList! And ACORN! And now if you'll excuse me, I'm going Galt.
Posted by: T Paine | March 20, 2009 4:19 PM
Hah! I too have been blocked by Jake Tapper!
Cool!
Guess he didn't take kindly to so many people pointing out what a clown he was over the Special Olympics topic.

Tapper is a hack. I'm surprised he doesn't work for Politico. I used to read his blog but his hackery knows no bounds so I had to stop.

He blocked me a while back, here's my account of the story, the guy is extremely thinskinned: http://blog.declercq.org/2009/03/how-jake-tapper-of-abc-news-blocked-me.html
Posted by: De Clercq | March 20, 2009 7:35 PM
Adam, get a fucking grip. So Tapper didn't want to read your uneducated and cliched ruminations. can you blame him? in the meantime all you did was distract from issues like poverty, AIDS in DC, education -- things that matter quite a bit to actual people. get out of your DC bubble, get over yourself, and get a fucking clue.
Posted by: TheAntiIdiot | March 23, 2009 2:00 PM
hey everyone -- anyone who wants to can read tapper's twitters at http://twitter.com/jaketapper
so whats the issue here? the issue is adam is a massive loser.
GREAT STORY, SCOOP!!!!!

Hey,you will do better.your posts have inspired me! - I love the way you directly get to the point, and then work outwards. I’ve been trying to do figure out what I want to say about ,that would allow me to do exactly the same thing.
