The group blog of The American Prospect

QUOTE OF THE DAY.

We literally have no agenda. How can they be threatened by a group that has taken no policy positions? -- Senator Evan Bayh

Er, that's exactly the problem. If there were a "moderate" agenda, perhaps you could argue it on the merits. But the moderate agenda seems to be focused on making sure people who actually have ideas about policy are considered extreme.

-- Tim Fernholz

COMMENTS

So what's the point?- although I guess half of DC would be out of a job if they had to provide actual reasons for what they do.

But the "moderates" do have a handy motto: "The public craves hearty beef stew; we happily supply thin beef-and-vegetable soup-like liquid!"

Our agenda: for sale to the highest bidder.

+!

The motto of Bayh's group should be: "So much resistance from behind." Swiped from Stephen Stills, of course.
