POT, KETTLE, BLACK. A new study shows the Sunday-morning talk shows are total dudefests -- more than 75% of guests are men. This research brought to you by an organization whose staff and advisors are more than 75% male.

COMMENTS

Of course, at 25% female, Media Matters is faring better than the Sunday talk shows.

It's likely that both have their subconscious discrimination, but for the most part they are drawing from applicant pools that are the result of decades of discrimination in various forms.

How about the percentage of Jews at the Times, the Prospect, NPR, Hollywood studios, etc.? Any problems there with overrepresentation?

As Media Matters is a self-described progressive organization, "subconscious discrimination" is a pathetic excuse.

And I'd like to state for the record that, despite appearances, neither I nor my fellow web editor Sam Rosenfeld are actually Jewish.

Man, I sure hope Media Matters does the right thing and shutters their operation soon.

Way to ignore the 'applicant pools' part of NB's post, Ann. And you also might want to check your sexist blogroll, which has better numbers than MM, but doesn't seem to pass your pan-calling-the-pot-calling-the-kettle-black test.
