CLINTON CAMPAIGN ON TOMORROW'S PROTEST.
Just got off the Clinton campaign conference call, where they laid out the arguments they'll be presenting to the Democratic National Committee Rules and Bylaws Committee tomorrow, asking them to seat 100 percent of Michigan and Florida's delegations -- as Clinton delegates, of course. I asked the gang how they felt about the women protesters who'll be rallying outside of the meeting making a feminist argument in support of Clinton. Some have said they won't support Obama if he's the nominee. Senior adviser Tina Flournoy responded:
I'm glad you asked that question, because I have been extremely disturbed by comments I've seen in the press coming from a number of people characterizing what these American citizens are doing tomorrow, which is exercising a basic right. They are coming to say that they stand in support of the people in Michigan and Florida...that they should be allowed to have a part in how this country moves forward. But what we are seeing is a constant refrain that this is chaotic. I've even seen the word "circus" used. ...These people are coming, they are going to speak. ...Why that is extraordinary, why that is troubling, why that elicits negative comments, I'm not sure. But I find that disturbing.
Flournoy is referring to comments from Obama campaign manager David Plouffe saying protests would lead to chaos and from former DNC chair David Wilhelm, who called them a "circus."
Harold Meyerson and I will be reporting from the meeting, so make sure to check TAPPED and the Prospect front page this weekend.

"Are you serious?
Someone please tell me, What was the point of the all primaries if Clinton wins?
They should have just said votes don't count.
Well i'm also going to protest
since nothing matters lets campaign for John Edward!
Clintons a woman, Obama is black both are unelectable LETS BE SAFE VOTE EDWARDS!"
Good point if this was Edwards and Clinton (with her winning) and people were saying she was losing the male vote, making her unelectable
Clinton would be screaming that they are denying her and she had won.
SHE WOULD BE CALLING ANYONE WHO QUESTIONS ELECTABILITY A SEXIST.

Meyerson "reporting" - that is funny

Maybe it's just that I watched "Recount" last weekend and was repelled by the "Brooks Brothers Riot" put on the the Repugnants, but this demonstration appears to be more an effort to intimidate the committee than to express "solidarity" with the poor, unrepresented masses of Michigan and Florida. Such action is, of course, their right, but it's not sexist to comment on the real intent of the demonstrators.

May 30th- Now I have heard everything. Clinton thinks she should get all the Michigan votes even though she was the only one who kept her name on the ballot in spite of the candidates agreement to not participate. I am completely disgusted! If Obama loses the campaign for President I blame the Clinton's entirely. I voted for Bill Clinton in two elections and for Hiliary for NY Senator but how grasping, convinning and down right unprincipled can you be. Can the rules whenever they don't favor you. Do you want HER for President. ( Well maybe yes since we have put up with a liar for eight years.

I am disgusted that the Obama people cheated at most of the caucuses so now he and the media say he is the nominee of the Democratic Party. Will he get elected in the general election which is NOT A CAUCUS?? I am voting straight Republican for the first time in 42 years. Tired of the Democrats! Don't tell me they are better than the Republicans. It took me 60 years to learn otherwise.

attention: democrats party team up Hillary and Obama yes you would win this coming General Election against John McCain.
Listen to the voice of Florida and Michigan allowed them to vote. if you dont allowed them your party would pay the huge price in losing this coming general election I can guarantee you that.
I have been personally predicting Upon watching on daily news. Hillary is the country big asset to the party and also Obama,. Team up these smart Candidate together. Then your party would win against republican John McCain.

How did they cheat exactly?
You know what's disgusting? Dried up old crones like yourself lying through you teeth to either justify your racsim or your blind gender solidarity.

If Mr Obama is wise he will subvert his imputed Oprah- Kennedy ambitions to be President and succumb to reality! He belongs as vice president for a time, so the american people can know him and love him as do so many Americans! He would not be driving Miss Daisy but rather permitting the time for acquaintance and trust!

Clinton supported withholding delegates from Florida and Michigan when she was the frontrunner. Once she started losing, she changed her tune. Obama stuck to the rules of the party. Changing the rules to suit personal ambition is what Bush does. How can anyone support her devious maneuvering? Maybe rigging the electronic votes in Fla would be acceptable to Clinton supporters as well if it got their candidate elected?

H.L. Mencken, please leave out the racial judgements. Also, someone that uses Mencken as their username should be able to spell 'cataclysm'. I guess the demographics about who educated people vote for are accurate.

Seriously, isn't it clear that Clinton is just another run of the mill politician? She lies, makes things up, talks out of both sides of her mouth, changes the rules, speaks in buzz words and slogans, and is practiced at manipulating people.
Obama is an honest man. He tells the truth and accepts that some people won't agree with him. He is what we need.
The idea that women have voted for and still support Clinton because she is a woman almost makes me laugh. Basically, they are voting for her because she doesn't have a penis.
I don't think we will get a Democrat in the White House this year and I believe the fault will be Clinton's. She is doing everthing in her power to make sure that Democrats either vote for Mccain or don't vote at all. I hate her....

This is why I couldnt vote for Hillary. She talks out both sides of her mouth that is the only thing consistant about her. It is on tape that she said up front she knew and agreed the election counted for nothing in both Michigan & Florida. As usual she is now changed her tune. She has proven over the years to do this over and over. How about some reality she will say whatever and do whatever to get what she wants. I dont care if she is a female, Native american. Hispanic or African American a liar is a liar & politics is not a free pass for the truth. She doesnt care about anything but herself she knows what she is doing to both the party and america. She is going to make it very hard for another woman the next they run for an election. I am sorry Hillary but the truth is you agreed to the rules you now its time to suck it up and do the right thing.

I think it's all so incredibly rediculous. If Hillary feels she can just change the rules to meet her needs, which are not the needs of the entire country, then maybe you all may want to reconsider voting her into office. As you're seeing now she will only work her heart out for herself, whether it be legal or illegal. She's an extremely selfish and manipulative woman who won't hesitate to lie and or destroy in order to get what she wants. That type of person is dangerous as President. Remember we've just endured 8 years of this. Do you really want a repeat???
