VARIOUS GATES RELATED ITEMS.

I don't actually have any commentary here, but I think these two developments are worth noting.

First, via TNC, the woman who called the cops was not a neighbor, but someone who works in the neighborhood:

A witness, 40-year-old Lucia Whalen of Malden, had alerted the cops that a man was "wedging his shoulder into the front door" at Gates' house "as to pry the door open," police reported.
Second, Sgt. Crowley went on the radio yesterday and gave his own take:

"I support the president of the United States 110 percent. I think he was way off base wading into a local issue without knowing all the facts as he himself stated before he made that comment," Crowley told WBZ-AM. "I guess a friend of mine would support my position, too."
That's it.

COMMENTS

Lmao, now this officer is going to sue Gates. I guess the Cambridge police Department just gave up any hopes of avoiding a lawsuit from Gates.

Any commentary or updates on Hawaiian certificates of life? Huh? HUH? Didn't think so!!

Of course, you have crooked ass Amanda Marcotte, ever the coward hiding behind closed comment sections, saying that Gates should have known better because this is how black men are treated in America.

Somehow, I doubt she's accept the 'sure, that woman got raped. But this is America and thats how men treat promiscuous women here' argument. She'd rightly call it blaming the victim. But if someone is male, then too bad. They get what they had comming.

Just caught Bam on TV putting Gatesgate to bed. The man does not shy away from responsibility. So foreign. Maybe the birthers have a point.
