THAT'S NOT FEMINISM WE CAN BELIEVE IN, MY FRIENDS.
So at least two women in America are "finished" as props in the McCain campaign, but don't be surprised if they make a cameo at the convention, where folks know to clap for a phony tribute. A description of newly minted running mate Sarah Palin's now adjusted remarks from MSNBC:
After that, she went back to the stump speech she delivered on Friday and Saturday. But she skipped the entire section in which she highlighted the achievement of having a woman on the ticket -- as well as her praise for those who came before her, Geraldine Ferraro and Hillary Clinton. Yesterday, when campaigning in Pennsylvania, she received some boos from the audience when Clinton’s name was mentioned. What about that profound respect for Hillary Clinton so many prominent conservatives had just discovered? Was it all a lie?

Despite the left's opinion to the contrary, conservatives don't operate in lockstep. I do have respect for Hillary Clinton. I think she would have made a better president than Barack Obama will, if he gets elected. She has accomplished a lot. And I never would have booed her at anything. If ever met her, I'd try to find something nice to say.
That being said, other conservatives don't feel that way, and never have. Thus, they booed.
Dissenting opinions . . . with in our own ideological group! Who would have imagined?
You progressives oughta try that sometime.

Apparently after praising Hillary for political points against Obama many GOP leaders forgot how much many regular republicans hate Hillary and Bill. They made the mistake of believing their own hype.
Just an aside, Kevin Willis, why does your name link to a breast pump page on a medical supply site?

Um, did you just land here from Mars? Our problem much of the time is so much dissent that we have a hard time holding a coalition together. Or do you not know any liberals in real life and only believe what conservatives say about us?
What I find most amusing is that you hate that your side is stereotyped so you turn around and do the same in retaliation? Have you ever considered the liklihood that our side is just as diverse as yours?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Dude, you need to meet more progressives. The words "Circular Firing Squad" have always applied to liberals - it's just kind of funny to see conservatives doing it to themselves these days.
Also - I call prank on Kevin S. Willis - the URL around his name links to a sales page for breast pads. He seems to be jokingly informing us that he's a boob...

The women's vote is a myth!
Senator Clinton and Governor Palin are proof that women can and do diverge on important issues.
Even on the question of whether women should vote!
Most people are totally in the dark about HOW the suffragettes won votes for women, and what life was REALLY like for women before they did.
Suffragettes were opposed by many women who were what was known as 'anti.'
The most influential 'anti' lived in the White House. First Lady Edith Wilson was a wealthy Washington widow who married President Wilson in 1915.
Her role in Wilson's decision to jail and torture Alice Paul and hundreds of other suffragettes will never be fully known, but she was outraged that these women picketed her husband's White House.
"The Privilege of Voting" is a new free e-mail series that follows eight great women from 1912 - 1920 to reveal ALL that happened to set the stage for women to win the vote.
It's a real-life soap opera! ALL true!
Suffragettes Alice Paul and Emmeline Pankhurst are featured, along with TWO gorgeous presidential mistresses, First Lady Edith Wilson, Edith Wharton, Isadora Duncan and Alice Roosevelt.
There are tons of heartache on the rocky road to the ballot box, but in the end, women WIN!
Thanks to the success of the suffragettes, women can support the candidates they choose -- left, right, in-between or GREEN!
