MCCAIN INVENTED THE BLACKBERRY?

McCain adviser Douglas Holtz-Eakin's claim that John McCain helped create the Blackberry has been gleefully e-mailed around by Obama flacks complete with "LOL! OMG!" in the subject line.

But here's the really funny part: Let's say that McCain's time on the Commerce Committee really did support industries that developed Blackberry-type technology, as Al Gore's time in the Senate really did support internet development. It still doesn't work! Why? Research-in-Motion, the company that invented the Blackberry, is Canadian. Whoops.
