SPEAKING OF WOMEN IN TELEVISION.

A source inside the Hillary Clinton campaign says that they regularly watch ABC's The View (I hear it's one of those shows popular with the ladies). That being the case, Joy Behar must have made them very happy this afternoon.

Joy Behar`s remarks on the View were lifted from my letter to the editor that appeared in the Nov.1 NY Times.
This is the letter.

Democrats’ Debate: A Focus on Clinton
To the Editor:

Re “In 7th Round, a Pitched Debate: Clinton Hears It From Her Rivals” (front page, Oct. 31):

In the Democratic debate on Tuesday night, Bill Richardson was right when he chastised Barack Obama and John Edwards for their over-the-top personal attacks against Hillary Rodham Clinton. When they engage in such behavior, they are playing into the hands of the G.O.P., which will use their remarks against Senator Clinton.

Democrats should focus on who the enemy really is, and it is not Hillary Clinton. It is the G.O.P. and President Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, Rudolph W. Giuliani and Mitt Romney.

In the recent G.O.P. debate, the participants aimed their fire at Senator Clinton, not one another. Senator Obama and Mr. Edwards did not help themselves as candidates by attacking Senator Clinton. All they did was increase her negatives and make her a weaker candidate for the general election.

As usual, the Democrats shot themselves in the foot and made it easier for the G.O.P. candidate to win the presidency. Ronald Reagan’s “11th Commandment,” which says Republicans should not speak ill of fellow Republicans, should be applied to the Democrats as well. Reba Shimansky

Although I did not get any credit I am glad she used my letter because it will reach millions of women who never read the Times.
It should be noted that the letter was the first letter in the Letters to the Editor -so it was very well positioned for someone to notice it.
